Accredited First Aid course perfect for satisfying requirements of OFSTED and Early Years Foundation (EYFS) guidance. This course suits staff in schools and nurseries looking after children or infants. This course can be delivered over 2 days in the classroom or 1 day in class and completion of an online first aid module. Price quoted is for the latter option (most popular).
Accredited Paediatric First Aid Course taught over one day (6 hours) in the classroom. This course is perfect for nannies, babysitters, school staff and for anyone working with children or babies. Meets requirements of OFSTED and EYFS.
For Employees and staff working with people aged over 18
This course is the standard course for equipping staff in dealing with a workplace first aid incident. This accredited course covers the most serious incidents that may occur. The course is delivered over one day in house (6 hours). Course content is a follows:
- Roles of the first aider
- Cross Infection
- Recording Incidents
- Use of first aid kit
- Assessment of a situation
- Unconscious casualty
- Recovery position
- Seizures
- CPR and Defib
- Choking
- Bleeding and Shock
- Minor Injuries
This course can be delivered over 3 days in class, or 1 day in class and an extensive online module. Course content is as per EFAW with the additional elements:
- injuries to bones, muscles and joints
- Spinal Injuries
- Chest injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Eye injury
- Poisoning
- Anaphylaxis
- Major illnesses including heart attacks, stroke, epilepsy, diabetes and asthma.
This short course covers the most pressing emergencies and lasts for 3 hours. Course content is as follows:
- Unresponsive casualty
- Recovery Position
- CPR
- Defibrilator (AED)
